Celtic face St Mirren on Saturday afternoon as the curtain comes down on the 2025/25 Scottish Premiership campaign. Brendan Rodgers’ side will collect the Premiership trophy after the game but the Irishman will be demanding that his side put on a show ahead of the Scottish Cup Final.

After thumping Aberdeen at Pittodrie after making eight changes, Celtic return to Paradise to close out the campaign. Brendan confirmed that Reo Hatate would be out for the two remaining games of the season, meaning he will miss the Scottish Cup Final as well.

Team News

Kasper Schmeichel dropped to the bench midweek with Vil Sinisalo coming into the squad but the Dane is expected to start the game.

Greg Taylor is expected to start at left back. Alistair Johnston will likely come back into the team at right back and probably play the first hour. Cameron Carter-Vickers is available for selection again after missing the last two games with a hamstring concern. Much like AJ, the USA Internationalist will probably play the first hour before being replaced. Maik Nawrocki may feel hard done by if he doesn’t start given that he impressed in the North East. Liam Scales will likely come in to partner CCV.

In the midfield, Hatate’s injury opens up a space alongside Callum McGregor and Arne Engels. Paulo Bernardo is most likely to step into the third midfield slot but there’s a strong argument for Luke McCowan, who impressed midweek.

Adam Idah and Daizen Maeda will likely come back into the starting XI with James Forrest remaining.

Predicted XI: Schmeichel; Taylor, Scales, Carter-Vickers, Johnston; McGregor, Engels, Bernardo; Maeda, Idah, Forrest.
