Chivas have added their first ‘signing’ for the 2021 Clausura, with César Huerta to return from his loan deal with Mazatlán.
Huerta has made six senior appearances for the Flock, since breaking through from the club’s academy in 2018.
However, the 19-year-old striker has spent the majority of the past two years out on loan at Atlético Zacatepec, Morelia and Mazatlán.
According to Guadalajara-based reporter David Medrano, Huerta will be part of manager Víctor Manuel Vucetich’s plans in the New Year.
Medrano tweeted: “The return of “Chino” César Huerta to Chivas is official.
“Mazatlán tried to reduce the option price of $10m.
“Chivas did not accept as they have him in plans as the first reinforcement.”
Huerta made 17 appearances for Mazatlán in the Guard1anes 2020 season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
