Big-spending Serie A outfit Como secured the signings of two players from Spain on transfer deadline day.
As much has been made official by way of a pair of announcements across the Italians’ website and social media platforms.
First through the door for Como was Ivan Azon.
Azon is a 22-year-old attacker, who generally lines out at centre-forward. The Spaniard had racked up eight goals and two assists for 2nd tier Real Zaragoza across the season to date, widely hailed for his performances.
And, as alluded to above, as much has proven sufficient to secure for Azon a winter move to Serie A:
Como’s deadline day shopping spree in Spain did not end there, though.
This comes with Cesc Fàbregas’ side having also secured a deal with Celta Vigo for Tasos Douvikas.
Like Azon, Douvikas is also a striker, who piqued the attentions of Como with his haul of five goals in limited minutes for Celta over the opening half of the campaign.
The Greek, in turn, also put pen to paper on terms at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia on Monday, committing to his new employers through the summer of 2029:
