The Bianconeri injury crisis is only getting worse, as Weston McKennie is the latest addition to the absentee list.

He joins Dusan Vlahovic, Arkadiusz Milik, Nico Gonzalez, Vasilije Adzic, Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal and former Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz on the treatment table.

It means coach Thiago Motta has no strikers available at all, so has to use Weah as a False 9, supported by Teun Koopmeiners, Conceicao and Kenan Yildiz.

Aston Villa had a sensational start to the season, winning their first three Champions League games including 1-0 over Bayern Munich and 2-0 against Bologna.

However, they lost 1-0 to Club Brugge and have stuttered domestically as well with just two points from their last six competitive games.

Amadou Onana and Jacob Ramsey are out of action, with Boubacar Kamara and Ezri Konsa not fully fit either.

Ollie Watkins leads the attack with support from Leon Bailey, Morgan Rogers and John McGinn, while super-sub Jhon Duran is on the bench.
