Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of former Tottenham Hotspur attacker Ellie Brazil on a one-year deal.

Brazil has 74 Barclays Women’s Super League appearances to her name from spells with Birmingham City, Brighton & Hove Albion and latest club Spurs. The player is a household name in the top tier of English football, although she has had some bad luck with long-term injuries in recent years.

After overcoming her latest Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury, Brazil proved her fitness in the second half of last season and she will now be ready to make up for lost time at new club Charlton Athletic this term.

After completing her move to The Valley, Brazil said “It’s really exciting, it’s a really great time to be at the club off the back of how close they were last year to promotion. I think that our ambitions align with what we want from the season, I’m grateful to be here.”

Brazil is Charlton Athletic’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
