Chelsea have invested heavily in youngsters over the past few seasons as they look to build a long-term project. In a latest move, the Premier League side have set their eyes on VfB Stuttgart attacker Chris Fuhrich, according to CaughtOffside.

Fuhrich has taken his game to the next level in the ongoing campaign. He has netted nine goals and provided seven assists in 38 games. He is averaging 1.6 shots, 1.6 key passes, and 2.1 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The German attacker plays on the left wing but can also shift to the middle of the park if required. He has excellent dribbling skills and passing sense. He likes to play short passes and provide through balls to create threats. With more experience, the youngster can add more features to his game.
After a disappointing season, Chelsea are under pressure to perform well next season. Hence, they are desperate to group together a solid unit in order to fight for all the prestigious trophies. In that aspect, the addition of Chris Fuhrich could be a good move.
Fuhrich’s arrival will add depth and value to the offensive unit. Being an experienced campaigner, he could make an instant impact on the field. He is still 26 years old, which means the attacker can serve the club for a long period.
Though Fuhrich still has four years left on his contract, a €30 million release clause could be a game-changer. The Blues can easily meet the demands and acquire his services. However, they will have to be quick as several other European clubs are also keeping tabs on the talented player.
