Chelsea supporters have voiced their outrage at co-owner Todd Boehly following revelations about his ties to ticket resale platform Vivid Seats.

The Chelsea Supporters Trust (CST) recently conducted a survey that shows the growing frustration over ticket touting, with results suggesting they do not believe the club can address the issue.

The CST survey was presented to Chelsea on January 31 and revealed that over two-thirds of supporters believe ticket touting is a problem at the club.

Fans largely think that Chelsea are not doing enough to tackle the issue, with only nine percent confident in the club’s current measures.

Almost three-quarters of fans admitted they were not well-informed about the club’s efforts to combat touting, and just 17% had faith in Chelsea’s ability to handle the problem.

The CST issued a strong statement condemning the club’s failure to protect its supporters from ticket exploitation.

“The alarming findings of this survey have indicated that supporters do not have faith or trust in Chelsea to combat ticket touting. the CST stated.

“The club must provide immediate reassurances to supporters and demonstrate that they are taking effective action through better communication, stricter resale policies and additional enforcement against illegal ticket selling.”

There was more controversy after Boehly was linked to Vivid Seats, an American ticket resale platform listing hundreds of Chelsea tickets at inflated prices.

CST members described Boehly’s involvement as a breach of trust and a potential conflict of interest.

Vivid Seats is considered an unauthorised ticket website by the Premier League.

Fans in the United Kingdom are legally prohibited from reselling football tickets in this manner, but Vivid Seats allows international users to buy and sell tickets at ridiculous mark-ups.

This situation has fuelled widespread anger among Chelsea fans, many of whom have taken to social media to express frustration over the difficulty of securing match tickets through official channels.

Fan sentiment is reaching boiling point, and the pressure is now on Boehly and Chelsea to take decisive action to restore trust and address the growing concerns surrounding ticketing practices at the club.
