Erin Cuthbert’s second-half brace saw Chelsea win 3-1 at BK Häcken to replace them at the top of UEFA Women’s Champions League Group D.

Clarissa Larisey hit the bar before Sam Kerr had Emma Hayes side in front, Larisey then heading the hosts back on level terms in front of a sell-out crowd. Cuthbert restored the lead and extended in a dozen minutes later. Hacken’s Molly Johansson had a stoppage-time goal ruled out for offside.

With two rounds of matches to go, Chelsea are one point above Hacken and two better off than Paris FC, who ended Real Madrid’s hopes of further progress with a 1-0 away win from Gaetane Thiney’s 79th-minute penalty.

Ajax knocked Bayern Munich off the top of Group C with a 44th-minute Romee Leuchter goal. PSG also overtook Bayern to sit a point behind Ajax with a 3-1 victory at Roma. Tabitha Chawinga, Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Korbin Albert scored before Manuela Giugliano’s late consolation.
