Chelsea maintain their one-hundred-percent record in the Europa Conference League after seeing off Danish domestic giants FC Copenhagen tonight in a dull 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
Scorers: Dewsbury-Hall 55'
Enzo Maresca's Blues were hardly at the races in the opening 45 minutes of action in the English capital, failing to register a single shot against Jacob Neestrup's Byens Hold outfit while hardly looking tournament favourites.
Performance levels picked up after the break, however, with the Premier League giants pushing from the whistle to find a much-needed opener on the night.
It would be Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who stepped up to deliver when he slammed his effort home from inside the box to make it 1-0 in the 55th minute, putting the tie out of sight.
The lone strike from the former Leicester City academy graduate was enough to ensure that Chelsea reached the last eight, with the Blues hardly ever getting out of first gear.
Up next in the Conference League for the Maresca's men is a stern test against one of Legia Warsaw or Molde FK, who are heading to extra time at the time of writing.
