Chelsea are considering a move for RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
The 21-year-old Slovenian is one of the most talked-about forwards in the transfer market this season.
Thanks to his consistent performances for RB Leipzig, he has caught the eye of several top clubs across Europe.
The Blues are looking to add a reliable forward to ease the attacking load on Cole Palmer, who has carried much of the burden this season.
Nicolas Jackson is the first-choice striker, but his performances have lacked consistency. He has scored nine league goals but missed numerous chances.
Chelsea have also shown interest in Victor Osimhen and Liam Delap.
Arsenal have long admired the Leipzig striker but seem to be cooling their interest.
Manchester United pursued Sesko last year and could make a renewed bid for him this summer.
A deal for the Slovenian forward would not come cheap, as Sesko is attracting interest from several top clubs. Leipzig are not under pressure to sell.
He has bagged 19 goals and six assists this season, showing his ability to lead the line effectively.
He combines power with clever positioning and aerial strength, and any club that signs him will be getting a forward with real quality and potential.
