Chelsea sign French international midfielder Jean-François | OneFootball

Chelsea have completed the signing of French international midfielder Oriane Jean-François on a three-year deal with the option of a further year.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this afternoon.

Jean-François joins the South West Londoners from Arkema Première Ligue club Paris Saint-Germain. The 22-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the French giants. Jean-François made 41 appearances for The Parisians in all competitions in which she scored one goal. Prior to her spell with Paris Saint-Germain, the midfielder played her football across the French capital at Paris FC where she started her career.

On the international stage, Jean-François has been capped by France on five occasions. Four of her caps for Les Bleues have come within the last 18 months. The player will be hoping that her move to England boosts her chances of getting regular starts for her country.

After joining Chelsea, Jean-François said “It is a good moment for my career and the player I want to be. I’m very happy to sign here and I’m excited to start my journey.”

Jean-François becomes Chelsea’s third signing of the summer transfer window following the recent additions of Júlia Bartel and Sandy Baltimore.
