Chelsea will have a meeting in London next week with the agent of River Plate teenager Ian Subiabre according to reports.
The Blues have really tapped into the South American market and have signed a number of talented youngsters from the continent under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership.
Two of the biggest talents in South America, Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian are joining the Blues in the summer, whilst they also have talented midfielder Andrey Santos on their books.
The January window may have closed last month, but that hasn’t stopped players from being linked with the club.
The Blues have been linked to Ajax teenager Jorthy Mokio, who has already made his debut despite only being 16-years-old.
However, it appears another teenager from South America could join the club, and journalist Uriel Iugt has confirmed Chelsea’s interest in Subiabre.

He took to X.com and said:
“Next week there will be a meeting in London between the sporting director of #Chelsea and Ian Subiabre’s agent.
“The footballer has been closely followed and he left very good impressions at the South American Under-20 Championship. They will also join with other clubs.”
Subiabre came through the ranks at River Plate and has made just four appearances for the first team, with his current deal expiring at the end of the 2026.
Argentina finished runners up with the right winger scoring three goals in eight games, but it’s unclear if a move to Chelsea will materialise at this point.

Fans are unlikely to be impressed seeing the club linked with yet more youngsters given the holes currently in the first team squad.
Supporters want to see the club making an effort to improve the first team and get back to competing for major trophies and qualifying for the Champions League, which right now looks an uphill battle.
