The Blues announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
Reiten joined Chelsea in summer 2019. She arrived in South West London as a central midfield player but Chelsea manager Emma Hayes identified her qualities playing out wide and Reiten has made that position her own. The Norwegian international has made 78 appearances for the South West Londoners in the Barclays Women’s Super League while she has scored 23 goals. Reiten has won four league titles with The Blues along with three Adobe Women’s FA Cups, two FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cups and the FA Women’s Community Shield. She was a member of the squad which reached the UEFA Women’s Champions League final for the first time in 2020/2021.
It is fair to say that Reiten is a hugely popular member of the Chelsea squad and the club will be pleased to have secured her services for the longer term.
After signing her new deal, Reiten said “I’ve been here four years now and I’ve loved every second of it. It feels like my second family and I have some really good friends here. I enjoy my time on and off the pitch and there is no place I’d rather be.
Chelsea return to action after the international break with a fixture at Arsenal on Sunday 10 December 2023.
