Blues rotate once again as they face latest European assignment
Chelsea have made as many as 10 changes for the clash against Heidenheim in the Conference League.
Enzo Maresca has tended to use the competition to give playing time to those on the fringes of his Premier League XI and with three wins from three, the Blues are already well on their way to qualifying for the knockout phase.
And the Italian tactician has done so again this evening with Benoit Badiashile the sole survivor from the side that started the 2-1 win over Leicester City at the weekend.
The Frenchman is joined in defence by Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo and Renato Veiga in front of Filip Jorgensen who comes in for Robert Sanchez in between the sticks.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is handed a rare start in midfield alongside Cesare Casadei and it’s Christopher Nkunku who will operate behind Marc Guiu in the number 10 role.
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho comes in for his first start since the loss against Liverpool last month and Mykhailo Mudryk has another chance to impress.
Cole Palmer, Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Malo Gusto, Nicolas Jackson, Pedro Neto, Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Enzo Fernandez and Reece James were all left out of a 21-man travelling squad for one reason or another.
Chelsea XI: Jorgensen; Disasi, Tosin, Badiashile, Veiga; Casadei, Dewsbury-Hall; Sancho, Nkunku, Mudryk; Guiu
