Blues expected to ring the changes once more
Enzo Maresca could tonight ring the changes as Chelsea travel to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
The trip to St James Park will be the Blues’ second meeting with Newcastle in three days, after their 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Maresca has tended to field an entirely new team for matches in the Conference League and Carabao Cup when compared to his league XI, and he is expected to do something similar on Wednesday when he takes on Eddie Howe's side.
Chelsea have just one player out injured, with Omari Kellyman out with a long-term hamstring injury.
Jadon Sancho could return to the team after being an unused substitute in wins over Panathinaikos and Newcastle over the past week.
The fact Pedro Neto appears to have moved above Sancho in the pecking order on the left wing makes the Portuguese winger less likely to start in the North East.
Chelsea predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Jorgensen; Disasi, Adarabioyo, Veiga, Cucurella; Fernandez, Deswbury-Hall; Sancho, Felix, Mudryk; Nkunku
Injured: Kellyman
Doubts: None
Time and date: 7:45pm GMT tonight on Wednesday October 29, 2024
Venue: St James’ Park
