Young star Chido Obi has celebrated Manchester United's FA Youth Cup victory over former side Arsenal.

Jack Fletcher put United ahead with a fine curling effort, before Arsenal scored twice through Louis Copley and the impressive Max Dowman, who won and then scored a penalty.

Jayden Kamason equalised before Bendito Mantato settled the tie in extra time.

Much of the pre-match talk was around Obi's possible involvement, having swapped the Gunners for United earlier in the season and continuing his feracious scoring record for the Under-18s.

But, the injury woes affecting United's senior team has seen Obi drafted into Ruben Amorim's plans for Sunday's FA Cup clash with Fulham, so he was unavailable on Friday night.

He was still sure to get involved with the celebrations, however.

After goalscorer Kamason posted a celebration picture on Instagram, Obi replied with “THANK YOU SO MUCH” followed by three laughing emojis.

Obi will now hope to return to the U18s for the semi-finals, as former club Arsenal lick their wounds.
