Oribe Peralta’s penalty against Atlético San Luis on Friday maintained the recent impressive record of Chivas from the spot.
The veteran striker sent the ball low and into the right corner of the net to put The Flock 2-0 ahead on the night.
San Luis recovered to get back to 2-2 and rescue a point, but Chivas had reason to be happy with their efficiency from 12 yards.
Peralta’s finish marked the 14th consecutive successful penalty conversion for Los Rojiblancos.
The last time the Guadalajara club managed that feat was in a period between 1985 and 1987.
It has been a strange start to the Clausura for Chivas.
Luis Fernando Tena’s men remain unbeaten after the opening four games, but lie only in sixth place following three draws.
