This Saturday morning was a very special one for Chivas U18s, who were proclaimed champions of the category after defeating Necaxa 3-1 on aggregate. The Akron Stadium was witness to this achievement, with good soccer, forcefulness and the drive of the Rojiblanca Nation that gathered at the home of the Rebaño Sagrado.
All Sergio Pinto's team needed was the trophy to round off a dream semester, in which they dominated their circuit from start to finish as they led the Clausura 2024 with 48 points and were crowned after 13 wins, 6 draws and only 4 defeats.
In this way, the Cantera Rojiblanca continues to add success, as the Fortaleza Rojiblanca lifted its first Liga MX U18 championship in addition to the U16 title won a couple of weeks ago.
The goals:
1-0: Chivas struck first at the 10' mark through Juan Pablo Uribe, who, like a good goal scorer, distanced himself from the Hidrocalida defenders and took advantage of a back pass, then broke into space and scored with a right-footed cross.
2-0: Xandor Camacho was in charge of extending the lead and practically sentencing the tie. The goal was scored thanks to a great play by Uribe, who gathered the ball on the right and sent a low cross to the far post for Camacho to finish the game and put the third goal on aggregate.
2-1: Necaxa pulled one back in the 26th minute thanks to Israel Tello, who appeared on the right flank and with a left-footed shot at the near post, scored the Rayos' first goal of the playoffs.
