Bayern Munich goalkeeper Christian Früchtl is reportedly ready to play the long game in his bid to become the club’s first choice.
The 20-year-old has been third choice and was instead devoted to Under-23 duties last season, appearing 27 times in the third division.
But kicker report that Früchtl is prepared to be patient for his chance and is pushing to go out on loan for the coming campaign.
Interest in his services is high, with Schalke, Hertha BSC, Werder Bremen and Karlsruher SC all keen on signing him.
The player himself is eager to join a top tier team somewhere in Europe or a second division team in Germany, provided it is an attractive proposition, in order to aid his development.
He is determined to be in position to challenge for the gloves in the summer of 2023, when Manuel Neuer’s contract at the club expires.
Früchtl is set to fight it out with the incoming Alexander Nübel for that honour, with the 23-year-old arriving this summer from Schalke.
Negotiations with Hasan Salihamidzić are set to resume next week in order to engineer a temporary move for the time being.
