MIAMI — The 2025 Women’s U-20 Qualifiers left amazing memories prior to the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship, delivering a preview of players to watch in the final round.

Annabelle Chukwu (CAN)

As the leader of Group E, Canada showed its strength across all lines. The offense shone in particular due to one of the most recognizable names through the CWU20Q in Annabelle Chukwu. Scoring in every Qualifiers match, finishing the competition with six goals, she added to her impressive previous tally after being a stand-out player at the U-17 Championship and U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Se-Hanna Mars (GUY)

Se-Hanna Mars left a mark on Guyana’s soccer history by helping her nation earn its second Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship appearance. Scoring half her team’s goals that delivered first place in Group A, including a hat-trick against Antigua and Barbuda, Mars showed her skills and is a player to continue watching for years to come.

Sheika Scott (CRC)

Las Ticas have proven to be a force from Central America in every category of women’s football, with players like Sheika Scott standing out in different tournaments. Scott scored in every match in the Group Stage for Costa Rica, pushing her nation to the top of Group F with five goals in three matches. She also had good performances at the 2023 Women’s U-20 Championship and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and will look to continue that trend at the 2025 Women’s U-20 Championship.

Renata Mercedes (DOM)

The never-ending force of the Dominican Republic, Renata Mercedes, proved one more time why she is one of the players who caught fans’ attention when she stepped on the pitch. After shining in the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup, she did it again in the CWU20Q, scoring four crucial goals, including a hat-trick, for Las Quisqueyanas in three appearances in the Group Stage.

J’Eleisha Alexander (TRI)

Delivering great performances on home soil, J’Eleisha Alexander offered one of the best performances for co-hosts of the CWU20Q, Trinidad and Tobago, with four goals in 93 minutes. Alexander continued to add to her résumé which also includes representing the Soca Warriors at the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup.
