Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Gracie Prior’s strikes against Liverpool has been nominated for February’s Barclays Women’s Super League Goal of the Month award.

The Jamaican’s second of the evening and the versatile defender’s first for the Club, which contributed to a 4-0 success at the Joie Stadium, are in contention for the prize.

After breaking the deadlock with a drilled finish, Bunny doubled our lead when she collected Mary Fowler’s dinked pass before expertly controlling and slamming into the net from close range.

Jill Roord extended our advantage shortly after half-time before Prior collected the ball just inside the Reds’ half on the right wing, skipped past her opposite number and lobbed Teagan Micah with a venomous, dipping effort.

In what was her first WSL start for the Blues, our Academy graduate also contributed to a fine defensive display by our backline enforcers which resulting in maintaining a clean sheet against Matt Beard’s side.

Meanwhile, Shaw’s brace raised her tally this season to 17 goals in all competition across 18 outings.
