Club Brugge in talks with Hamburger SV over former Barcelona midfielder | OneFootball

BILD are reporting that Club Brugge have began preliminary discussions with Hamburger SV over the transfer of midfielder Ludovit Reis. The 24-year-old has a contract with the Bundesliga 2 club until 2026, meaning that they may well look to sell this summer in order to make some money off of the player. the Dutch midfielder is currently in his fourth season with the club, having joined from Barcelona back in the summer of 2021.

Reis began his career in the Netherlands with Groningen, playing 50 games for the side before moving to Barcelona. He only spent one season in Spain, going out on loan to VFL Osnabruck. In 30 games for the club he scored once and grabbed one assist. Hamburger were clearly impressed by his performances in the German second tier and brought him in. His best season at the club came during the 2022/2023 campaign, where he scored nine goals and grabbed five assists in 37 games. Club Brugge would be an attractive proposition for the player as they will likely be able to offer him Champions League football next season.

Meanwhile, Hamburger SV are still fighting to return to the Bundesliga and currently sit in pole position for promotion this season.
