Brazilian outfit Flamengo have rejected an offer from Aston Villa for one of their stars, deeming ‘the amount insufficient’ to let him go.

The Villans had a very promising start to their Premier League campaign, but given a dip in results they are expected to look to strengthen where possible in the current transfer window.

Matty Cash is the only experienced option at right-back and Villa have been tipped to sign a right-back this month.

Flamengo’s 20-year-old right-back Wesley is a player they like and the club have even sent an offer for the Brazilian.

According to Brazilian journalist Bruno Lemos, the Mengao have rejected a deal worth €15m from the Villans for their highly-rated right-back.

Flamengo believe ‘the amount insufficient’ to let the defender move on and they are convinced that he is worth much more, especially given his key status in the side.

Wesley has also been the subject of a €12m offer from Bournemouth and a proposal worth €20m from Italian side Atalanta.
