Moise Kean’s injury has meant that Fiorentina are in the market for a new striker, and Divock Origi has been mentioned as an option.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, the management of La Viola will go hunting for a striker capable of taking Kean’s place while he recovers from injury. They are not happy with the consistency (or lack of) from Christian Kouamé, so they want to give Raffaele Palladino another centre-forward.
At the top of the list is Milan Djuric, a 34-year-old striker at Monza who Palladino knows well, and at the the moment he is the hottest track. In the background there is also the name of Origi, who has been ostracised at Milan after returning from loan.
With the Rossoneri he signed a four-year contract – expiring on 30 June 2026 – worth €4m net per season which guarantees him more than €300,000 per month. This is a big obstacle for a possible negotiation with the Tuscan side.
The other option that Fiorentina are considering is Lorenzo Lucca of Udinese, the Italy international who continue to show promise after returning to Serie A following a failed stint with Ajax. The 24-year-old, though, would likely require a substantial cash outlay given his ability and potential.
