Liverpool are looking around for potential Mo Salah replacements and a report has claimed that AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic has left them impressed.
There is no doubting that Salah has established himself as a modern Liverpool great since his move from Roma, amassing 215 goals and 93 assists in 356 games for them across all competitions, leading them to a Champions League and a Premier League title.
However, as Calciomercato.it point out, he is 32 years of age now and has less than one year left on his deal which has forced their management too think about the future. Real Madrid’s Rodrygo has been mentioned, but he has a €1bn release clause and thus it will be a difficult pursuit.
The Reds could go back to Italy to find the heir to the man they signed from Serie A as Pulisic is a name that interests them. After a debut season with over 30 goal contributions, the USA winger has four goals and two assists in his first six games, scoring against Liverpool and Inter last week.
The Rossoneri got a bargain by snatching him from Chelsea for just €20m and today he is considered one of the leaders of Paulo Fonseca’s team, which is why his price has at least doubled from the amount paid last summer.
