Colorado Rapids have received a massive injury blow on Saturday during their clash against Austin FC.

Star player Djordje Mihailović was forced to leave the pitch only seven minutes following a strong challenge from Sebastián Driussi.

The Rapids midfielder had an apparent ankle issue and could not leave the pitch on his own, seeing him depart on a stretcher.

Things turned worse for the visitors minutes later when Driussi’s penalty opened the scoring for the hosts.

Colorado has already secured a spot in the MLS playoffs, but they will miss Mihailović dearly if he is sidelined long-term.
