Como coach Cesc Fabregas insisted that his club don’t want to sell Inter Milan target Nico Paz, even for a fee of €50 million.
The coach spoke in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter have identified Como midfielder Nico Paz as a target.
Reportedly, the Nerazzurri could make a move to sign the Argentine as early as this summer.
Paz has impressed in his first season in Serie A. He joined newly-promoted Como from Real Madrid in the summer.
Reportedly, the Lariani paid a fee of around €6 million to sign Paz from Real Madrid.
However, there are also reports that Los Blancos have a buyback clause worth around €12 million. And furthermore, they also have a sell-on fee.
All of that certainly could play a big role in deciding Paz’s future.
But in the meantime, the 20-year-old continues to impress for Como.
Paz is one of the Lombard team’s main men in attacking midfield.
Como coach Fabregas certainly sees Paz as a vital players.
As far as the January transfer window, the coach says “it’s impossible we’d let him leave.”
“Because we have an agreement with him.”
Fabregas continued that “Nico has a young player, and the relationship we have with his family is stable.”
“They’re humble and intelligent. They know who has his back, who’s given him this opportunity.”
Fabregas said that Paz is aware “where he’s growing, what we’re doing for him, and the fact that we believed in him right away.”
“They’re very happy,” he said of Paz’s family and representatives.
“They thank us for everything, and for us it’s an immense pleasure to have him here.”
“Nico is foundational to this team, and we hope to keep him here at Como for many years,” Fabregas insisted.
The coach went on that “all of us, starting with the club and the President, know what we have to do.”
“We’re working, slowly and in the background, to keep him here. Particularly if Real Madrid don’t buy him back.”
Fabregas made clear that “Como aren’t going to sell him even for a fee of €40-50 million.”
“Because we want to create a future, and an identity, with his group of talented young players. We want to ensure that in three or four years Como can become a very strong team.”
