It was Gustavo Silva who put the hosts in front. Fiorentina gave the ball away in their centre-circle, were beaten on the break and the Portuguese striker just had to turn the ball in on the goalline after receiving a well-placed low ball across the face of goal.
Gustavo Silva could have made it 2-0 before half-time, but flashed an effort over from just six yards out when Terracciano was on the floor having just made a save.
Vitoria continued to threaten long into the second half as well. Kaio Cesar and Gustavo Silva both threatened with powerful shots at Terracciano’s net, but couldn’t quite get any of them to hit the back of the net.
Fiorentina left it late to find their equaliser. They launcehsd a second phase of an attack after a corner, which resulted in Dodo firing a low ball across the face of Bruno Valera’s goal. The Vitoria keeper dove for the cross, but Mandragora was alert at the back post to turn it in for 1-1.
There was a scramble in the area in the final seconds of penalty area as Kean tried to turn in a winner, but the referee eventually blew after a series of fould in the box.
The result of tonight’s game sends both teams down one position in the Conference League standings, as Vitoria now sit third on 14 points, while Fiorentina claim fourth position with a tally of 13.
