Conor Bradley has set his sights on winning more trophies for Liverpool after signing a new long-term contract with the Premier League club.

The Northern Ireland captain put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at Anfield until 2029, the Reds announced on Saturday.

Bradley will bid to become the regular starter at right-back next season following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure, although he will face competition for the position if Liverpool sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Merseyside outfit signed Bradley from Dungannon Swifts in 2019 and handed him his first professional deal the following summer. He made his senior debut in the League Cup in 2021 before impressing on loan with Bolton Wanderers the following season.

Bradley, who has played 55 times in all competitions for Liverpool, made his Premier League debut in January 2024. He’s been a dependable stand-in for Alexander-Arnold under both Jurgen Klopp and current manager Arne Slot, making 15 league starts over the past two seasons.

“To sign another contract, I’m very proud and happy to see what the next steps on our journey together will be,” the 21-year-old told Liverpool’s official website. “You’ve just got to keep your head down and keep working hard.

“It has been a fantastic two years [with the senior team]. Especially since coming back from loan and doing so well last year and continuing that on this year. It’s been really good. So, hopefully we can keep going and keep making more memories.”

Bradley started the League Cup final win over Chelsea last year and helped the club win the Premier League this term, but he is looking to add more winner’s medals to his collection.

On his targets for the future, he said” “To play even more games but also to win more trophies. I think the whole point of playing football is obviously to win trophies and be successful.

“So the more of them we can win, the better it will be for me and the whole team. Hopefully if we can keep doing that, it’ll be a good next few years at the club.”

Bradley added: “I just want to keep getting better every day and to maximise whatever my potential is, and try to be the best version of myself.

“I want to add more goals and assists – obviously, I’ve had a few – and I want to get better at defending, too. To be honest, probably just [improve] everywhere!”
