Marcin Bulka’s (25) future at OGC Nice has been in question since L’Équipe revealed in September that the Polish goalkeeper would leave the Ligue 1 club at the end of the season.
Bulka had a breakthrough campaign in 2023/24 and whilst he has not replicated that level this season, he is still garnering considerable interest. With the goalkeeper’s contract up in the summer of 2026, Nice have been attempting to secure an extension, albeit in vain.
Addressing his uncertain future back in September, Bulka was coy but did add that he was “100% committed” to the club. Contract extension talks have been ongoing, however, L’Équipe understands that those talks have not been fruitful. The former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper is one of the lowest earners at Le Gym.
While Nice were offering a significant increase in his salary, it has not been enough to convince him to sign. Talks between the player and the club have therefore been broken, for now.
“The club feels that it has done what it needed to do with the offers made to Marcin but the club is open to talking again, should he wish,” an internal source at Nice told L’Équipe. Should no agreement be reached before the end of the season, the likelihood is that Nice would look to cash in on Bulka during the summer transfer window.
