AC Milan have already had a big departure this summer, and that has been Charles De Ketelaere’s departure to Atalanta, but according to a report, they will have to wait seven months for it to be official.

One of the biggest tasks of the summer was to find new homes for several returning loanees, and whilst De Ketelaere’s move to Atalanta has seemed nailed on to happen, getting the confirmation at the right terms was seemingly a nervy topic at some points.

There were reports that Milan had been asked for a discount in some form for the Belgian, but this never happened, and so La Dea completed the move on the original terms, but a report from Corriere della Sera (via Milan News) has suggested that it could take some time for the deal to be completely finalised.

According to the report, the transfer is displayed on the Serie A website as ‘temporary’, which the deal technically is, given he has moved on loan with an obligation to buy. This clause can only be exercised from February after the Bergamo outfit gets a point in Serie A, so whilst the website is correct, it is only on a technicality, so no need to worry.
