Within Napoli-Milan tonight there will be the battle between Antonio Conte and Sergio Conceiçao, two coaches fighting for very different things.

As Corriere dello Sport write, there is 14 points difference in the table but the 90 minutes on the field can often defy all logic, especially in a do-or-die game. Napoli are playing for the Scudetto after a draw against Venezia, their fifth in the last seven games.

Milan, on the other hand, need to win almost every game with the hope of catching up with fourth place and getting into the Champions League. It is currently nine points away after Bologna’s win yesterday, and with Juventus winning the Europa League spot is eight points away.

The real difference between the two teams, so far, has been the balance: both score little (45 and 44 goals), but Napoli have the best defence (23 conceded) while Milan has the seventh-best (with 33 goals allowed).

Recent tradition, however, is favourable for the Diavolo, unbeaten in six away games at the Maradona. The last defeat dates back to August 2018, then three draws and three victories including the Champions League.

The great dream of a comeback for Conceiçao follows a recent trend, with the two wins before the international break coming against Lecce (2-0 down to 3-2) and Como (1-0 down to 2-1). They were inspired by Pulisic and Reijnders, but they need more than that, including the magic of Theo and Leao.

Gimenez is not at his best and will go to the bench, Abraham will start up front in Sergio’s 4-2-3-1. It is an all-in game, one that Inter will be watching closely after they face Udinese, and as the paper writes: ‘A high-tension meeting between Conte and Conceiçao: you can’t go wrong’.
