Cristian Calderón making his mark for Chivas in pre-season

In addition to a new arrival to his family, wideman Cristian Calderón is also working on his rebirth as a Chivas player.

‘Chicote’ arrived from Nexaca in 2019, but has failed to establish himself as a consistent starter under a succession of managers.

But the 24-year-old, who took to Instagram on Saturday to announce the birth of his baby daughter, has been one of the standouts so far in pre-season for the Flock.

He has scored in friendly games against Caimanes de Cihuatlán and Necaxa.

And, according to various sources, the Atlas academy graduate has never been in better physical shape.

Calderón will hope that the upcoming 2021 Apertura season will finally see him win over boss Víctor Manuel Vucetich and the Los Rojiblancos faithful.
