Crystal Palace Have Bundesliga Winner In Mind As Possible Signing | OneFootball

Crystal Palace are considering Bayer Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou in the event Newcastle United target Marc Guehi leaves the club this summer, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Eagles defender has been heavily linked with a move away from Selhurst Park this summer after he enjoyed a fine Euro 2024 campaign with England.

Fellow Premier League side Magpies are interested in Guehi and they have just been in with a third proposal to sign him.

Crystal Palace are sticking to wanting £65m for Guehi, but they are aware he could leave and are looking at possible replacements.

And they are monitoring Bayer Leverkusen’s 23-year-old defender Kossounou, who helped Bayer Leverkusen win the title last term, if Guehi is sold this summer.

The Bayer Leverkusen defender played 34 times for the defending German champions last season.

Palace are also linked with Wolfsburg’s 24-year-old Maxence Lacroix, who was an important part of the team last term where he started 27 league matches and registered five-goal contributions in the process.

The Eagles will be looking to sort out Guehi’s future soon with the transfer window set to slam shut by the end of this month.
