Sky Germany reports that Crystal Palace are pushing to sign Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix which will see him reunite with former head coach Oliver Glasner.

The Premier League side have said to have already agreed personal terms with Lacroix but have yet to have any agreement between the two clubs.

Glasner is pushing for Palace to sign Lacorix as the pair were together during the Austrian’s time at Wolfsburg which coincided with the best performances of the Frenchman’s career. Since then he has struggled to replicate this type of form.

However, Lacroix is not the only option for Palace. Bayer Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou is also an option, however, if Palace push for the Ivorian then they will likely have to break their transfer record as Leverkusen will demand around €40m.

The incoming central defender for Palace will likely be the replacement for Marc Guehi who is of strong interest to Premier League rivals Newcastle.
