A whole host of first-team stars at La Liga giants Barcelona have taken to social media on Monday, to send messages of support to teammate Marc Bernal.
This comes, for those not aware, after the 17-year-old this morning went under the knife.
Bernal was of course recently condemned to a long-term spell on the sidelines, after suffering a torn ACL and meniscus damage in his left knee.
After waiting for the swelling and bruising to subside, Barcelona’s medical team, in turn, today finally gave the go-ahead for their midfield gem to undergo surgery.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of the Blaugrana, as much proved to be a success, with Bernal now facing up to a spell of around 12 months out of action.
Amid what is no doubt a hugely difficult moment in his fledgling career, messages of support have since flooded in for Bernal, from across the football world.
And, as alluded to above, over the course of the day to date, such messages have been added to by a number of the youngster’s teammates in Catalunya’s capital.
As showcased in the image below, with credit to BarcaTimes on ‘X’, the likes of Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal and Pablo Torre have all made use of Instagram to send well wishes to Bernal:
