For the last few days, the reports coming out of FC Barcelona have largely been related to a single subject, the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor with La Liga. The Catalans have already missed the 31st December deadline to get this duo registered, but are still looking to find a solution for this problem.

Meanwhile, one of these players, Dani Olmo, has displayed only calm in such an uncertain situation. First, he published a message on his social media on New Year’s Eve in which he clearly expressed his loyalty to the Blaugrana side. Then he also reassured Barcelona fans about his situation as he signed autographs for them prior to the first training session of this year.

Now, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, his agent, Andy Bara, has also made it clear that Olmo is only thinking about Barcelona despite his precarious situation, and will continue to wear the blue and garnet jersey.

Talking to the journalist Fabrizio Romano, the agent expressed his confidence in the Catalan club to get this situation sorted out soon:

“We have confidence that Barcelona will find a solution… Other options or clubs? Barcelona is the first and the last option… It may seem unusual, but I believe in President Laporta, in Deco, and that they will find a solution for Dani. It’s a huge club.”

Bara went on to clarify that Olmo’s entourage is not negotiating with any other club at the moment:

“I can confirm that our position has not changed. We are not negotiating with any club… Dani is a Barça player and wants to be one. He made a great effort in his life to be at Barcelona. It had been his wish for a long time… Dani, his father, his family, and I… We are not considering other options.”

Still, the agent also admitted that this is not too good a situation for the 26-years-old Barcelona midfielder:

“It’s a stressful situation for him, as it would be for any other player… but he’s a great player and person, and he’s trying to stay calm… Of course, Dani is a competitor, and he loves playing matches, not just watching them.”

There is no doubt that Olmo himself will be the individual most keen to see this situation resolved. But these comments from his agent will be highly reassuring for Barcelona fans, as they can rest assured that the Spaniard’s continuity in their team is not going to be threatened while the Blaugranes continue to look to get him registered.
