Darren Bent has praised Enzo Maresca for what he’s done with Jadon Sancho and believes the winger looks like he’s having fun at Chelsea.
Sancho joined the Blues on deadline day on an initial loan deal from Manchester United which will become permanent next summer for in the region of £25m, as long as Chelsea don’t finish in the bottom six of the league.
The England international is starting to find his feet at Stamford Bridge and his performances are having a positive impact on the team.
Sancho started with three assists in his first three games for the Blues including a man of the match debut against Bournemouth, where he came on as a half time substitute.
Further assists followed against West Ham and Brighton, but after starting against Liverpool at the end of October he didn’t feature again for the Blues for a month due to illness, injury and tactical decisions by Maresca.

Sancho returned to the starting line-up against Heidenheim and impressed with two assists, whilst he scored his first Chelsea goal against Southampton, with his second a brilliant strike in the win against Tottenham.
Maresca praised his performance against Spurs and Bent believes the 44-year-old deserves credit for what he’s getting out of Sancho.
“What he’s (Maresca) doing with Jadon Sancho as well, by the way. He stays [next season]. They’ll sign him. They have to,” he told talkSPORT.
“He won’t want to go back there [to Manchester United]. He’s having fun at Chelsea. He’s playing well at Chelsea.”

Sancho will almost certainly be given the night off against Shamrock Rovers in the Conference League on Thursday before more than likely returning to the line-up for Sunday’s trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.
A win against the Toffees would take the Blues top of the league momentarily for the first time under the new ownership, with Liverpool kicking off after they have played.
