However, even with just a few weeks remaining before the start of the new season, Barcelona are missing multiple first-team players either due to injuries or an extended summer break.

Barcelona’s Spanish duo – Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres – for example, are currently on an extended break after helping Spain lift Euro 2024 this summer.

Ferran & Yamal to return by August 16

According to Diario AS, Barcelona can soon expect Ferran and Yamal to return to action, with both attackers likely to return to the camp by August 8.

Barcelona are expected to return from their US trip by the first week of August, meaning both players should be available for the club’s league opener against Valencia.

Will Ferran stay at Barça?

While Yamal is more than likely to play a crucial role for Barcelona next season, the future of Ferran Torres has come under the microscope this summer.

The former Man City forward has emerged as one of the top two sale candidates for a Barcelona team desperate to offload some players.

Ferran has not lived up to the expectations since joining the club in 2022. But with the player determined to continue at Camp Nou, it will be interesting to see how things transpire going forward.

What about the Olympic trio?

While Yamal and Ferran may return early, it remains unclear how soon Barcelona will have the Olympic trio of Pau Cubarsi, Eric Garcia and Fermin Lopez back in action.

All three are representing Spain in the ongoing Paris Olympics, even helping La Roja reach the quarterfinal stage, where they will face Japan.

As far as their return is concerned, we can reach a more conclusive timeframe only after Spain’s Olympics journey comes to an end.
