David Luiz and Bruno Henrique set for Flamengo return

Flamengo defender David Luiz and striker Bruno Henrique could return to action this weekend after being pictured in training on Friday.

Neither player featured in Flamengo’s 2-1 victory over Audax Rio on Thursday but manager Paulo Sousa will be hoping that he can call upon them for their next game.

With Flamengo defender Rodrigo Ciao’s ongoing fitness troubles, 34-year-old Luiz’s return to action will be vital for the Mengão.

Luiz has already featured twice this season however Henrique is yet to make his debut under the new manager.

The return of the experienced pair will come as a big boost for Sousa with the final of the Supercopa fast approaching.
