New England Revolution defender DeJuan Jones will replace Joe Scally on the US men's national team roster for the friendly against Oman on September 12 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Borussia Mönchengladbach player departed camp due to family reasons, according to US Soccer, paving the way for Jones to take the spot on head coach Gregg Berhalter's squad.
The defender debuted for the USMNT in January, coming off the bench in the friendly against Serbia. Jones has since amassed six total caps for the American side, including the 2023 Gold Cup semi-final.
He now joins the team for the second friendly of the September international window, after the USMNT hosted Uzbekistan on September 9. Berhalter's side triumphed 3-0 over the visitors, as goals from Ricardo Pepi, Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah stunned in St. Louis.

Berhalter chose a traditional starting 11 against Uzbekistan, using figures that played a prominent role in the 2023 Nations League win. Overall, 12 players who lifted the trophy returned to the fold.
But several new faces continue to seek their first appearances. Inter Miami's Benjamin Cremaschi earned his first call-up, after the Argentinian-American figure stood out in recent Leagues Cup and Major League Soccer matches when linking up with new teammate Lionel Messi. Though he failed to see minutes in the first friendly, Berhalter could play the dual-nationality figure against Oman.
