The 23-year-old England youth international announced her Liverpool departure earlier this week and the club officially confirmed the news earlier today.
Prior to her Liverpool exit, Babajide had been on loan at Barclays FA Women’s Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion but that arrangement was recently terminated. Brighton & Hove Albion have officially confirmed the end of that deal today whilst suggesting that Babajide has arranged to join Spanish club Real Betis. The player’s move to Spain has been reported as a short term loan, however, given the fact that Babajide is now a free agent, she is set to move to Real Betis on a free transfer.
Babajide is poised to join a Real Betis side who are currently coached by former Tottenham Hotspur joint-head coach Juan Amorós. The Spanish club are currently in 11th position in the Spanish Primera División. The forward is thought to be keen to get more playing time under her belt and she will be hopeful that the move to Spain will allow her to kick on in her career.
Real Betis are yet to officially confirm the capture of Babajide therefore the final terms of the suggested deal are unknown.
