Reports linking Arsenal with a deadline day move for defender Domagoj Vida are gathering momentum.
The 29-year-old started six of seven games during Croatia’s run to this summer’s World Cup final.
Arsenal allowed Calum Chambers to join Fulham on a season-long loan on Tuesday, opening the door for a defensive signing before Thursday’s deadline.
According to the Evening Standard, the Gunners have been told to pay a €30m fee for the Croatian. Other sources, however, suggest he would be available for closer to €20m.
Turkish journalist İlke Cancanoğlu goes a step further than saying Arsenal are interested, claiming a medical is already scheduled for tomorrow and a fee between €18m and €25m is most realistic.
This is certainly becoming a story to look out for on deadline day.
