The Toffees are 16th on the points table and need to do well to avoid coming down to the relegation zone. Hence, they will be motivated to clinch all three points. The game will also work as a setup for the FA Cup 4th round.

Jordan Pickford somehow managed to keep a clean sheet in the previous game and will be aiming for repeating it this weekend. Jake O’Brien did well as the right-back in the lineup and should retain his spot for this match.

The centre-back duo of Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski was top-notch against Brighton. A similar sort of performance will be expected from them. Vitalii Mykolenko did enough to keep his right-back position in the side.

Midfield

Orel Mangala suffered a knock on his previous outing but it wasn’t too serious. It means he will be deployed alongside Idrissa Gueye in the middle of the park yet again.

Attack

Jesper Lindstrom had a pretty average game and will look to redeem himself this weekend. He will operate on the right wing with Abdoulaye Doucoure playing as the attacking midfielder.

Iliman Ndiaye will keep his position on the left wing while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the striker in the team. The latter had to be subbed off after a few minutes against Brighton. He will be eager to prove himself on Saturday night.

Armando Broja is sidelined while Dwight McNeil and James Garner are fully fit and might get some minutes under their belt.
