It’s coming a bit weird from Tottenham Hotspur in recent times. While they are doing excellent against strong sides, they are struggling to defeat comparatively weaker teams at the same time. This has led to uncertainty over their performance.

Spurs recently were held to a 1-1 draw against Fulham, which wasn’t really expected. They are now preparing for their next challenge which lies against Bournemouth in the Premier League today. It will be a crucial game for them considering the fact that they face Chelsea this Sunday.

Defence

What a performance by Fraser Forster against Fulham. He utilized the opportunity well and should continue to operate between the sticks. Right-back Pedro Porro looked a bit exhausted but probably be fresh for this tie.

Though Cristian Romero is recovering well, he is unlikely to participate on Friday. It means the centre-back duo of Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies remain intact. Destiny Udogie also manages to keep his left full-back position in the lineup.

Midfield

Spurs’ midfield produced an ordinary performance last week. Hence, Dejan Kulusevski is expected to walk into the XI at the expense of Pape Matar Sarr. The former will have the services of Yves Bissouma and James Maddison available in the middle of the park.

Attack

Dominic Solanke missed the previous game due to an illness but should get the nod this time. He will take up his original striker role in the side. It also means that Son Heung-min is likely to shift back onto the left wing, leaving Timo Werner with no space in the starting XI.

Brennan Johnson keeps his position and continues to operate on the right flank.

Guglielmo Vicario (ankle), Micky van de Ven, Richarlison, Wilson Odobert (all hamstring), Mikey Moore (illness) and Rodrigo Bentancur (suspension) aren’t available.
