Doncaster Rovers wrapped up the League Two title after Rob Street's first-half double handed Rovers a 2-1 win over Notts County at Meadow Lane.
Street opened the scoring in the 19th minute, tapping in from close range and just nine minutes later, he controlled Jamie Sterry’s cross before racing through and lobbing Alex Bass to make it 2-0.
County got a late consolation when Alassana Jatta bundled the ball in during injury time, but it wasn’t enough to spoil Rovers' celebrations.
Elsewhere, Bradford City snatched a dramatic late 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town to secure promotion to League One after six years.
It looked like the Bantams, who started the day in third, might end up in the play-offs, but Antoni Sarcevic diverted a George Lapslie shot into the bottom corner with just seconds left.
Walsall’s hopes of automatic promotion were dashed, despite snapping a 13-match winless streak with a 1-0 win at Crewe on the final day of the League Two season.
Just as they thought they’d pulled off a promotion miracle, late drama at Bradford saw them slip into the play-offs instead.
