Julio Enciso experienced the highs and lows of football inside the space of five minutes of Paraguay's Olympic quarter final against Egypt in two moments that have defined his young career to date.
In a very cagey affair, the Brighton attacker played a huge role in the opening goal after 71 minutes. A long ball came his way, and his exquisite hooked pass found his captain, Diego Gómez, who buried it from inside the box.
It appeared to be the completion of his road to recovery from a serious knee injury that saw him miss over six months of action last season.
However, just moments later, he went off in near-tears with another injury as his curse struck again.
To make matters even worse, Ibrahim Adel grabbed an equaliser for Egypt with only minutes left.
It could mean he misses the rest of the Olympics, and who knows how long after?
Every Paraguay and Brighton fan will have their fingers crossed that it was nothing more than a precaution.
