Lee Carsley has handed first England call-ups to Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Lewis Hall in his final England squad as interim manager.
Southampton defender Harwood-Bellis was given his England U21 debut by Carsley and has made ten Premier League appearances this season.
Hall has been a regular in the Newcastle team as the starting left-back, an area where England are currently short.
Carsley said: “They are both players who have played a lot of minutes this season,” he said. “They have shown they can consistently play in the Premier League at a high level. They are players I know really well.”
This is Carsley’s final squad in temporary charge before he hands over the reins to Thomas Tuchel.
Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is also back in the squad along with Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones.
Man City duo Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish are included despite injury concerns, while Spurs striker Dominic Solanke keeps his place in the squad.
But there is no room for Eberechi Eze, Jarrod Bowen or James Maddison.
Carsley also confirmed Tuchel had no involvement in selecting the squad.
