England drew 1-1 against Serbia in the UEFA Women’s U-19 Championship Group Stage in Lithuania thanks to a Mia Enderby spot-kick.
England’s Vivienne Lia forced a save in the first minute but Serbia quickly grew into the game and caused several problems.
Nina Matejic worked four opportunities, Katie Cox got down to save the first, the next two chances were not made the most of, before the England keeper made a fine second stop.
John Griffiths’ side had Evie Rabjohn stretchered off inside the half-hour, the fdefender was later seen pitchside on crutches.
Brooke Aspin had an effort cleared off the line, then after the break a Lia shot was blocked by the keeper Ema Aleksic’s legs.
Cox turned round the post an awkwardly bouncing ball from Matejic, then immediately after England made a triple substitution in the 68th minute, the Serbian number 9 turned well in the box to slot home.
Enderby should have turned home a cross to the far post but put the ball over the bar, however she did rescue a point with a 90th-minute penalty after Lia’s cross was handballed.
