La Liga outfit Espanyol have on Thursday announced the renewal of Jofre Carreras’ contract.
This comes as just rewards for what has been a fine start to the season on Jofre’s part in Barcelona.
Across Espanyol’s 12 La Liga outings to date in 2024/25, the 23-year-old has featured in each and every one, on 10 occasions from the off.
And, along the way, Jofre has managed to chip in with a none-too-shabby haul of two goals and three assists, almost matching his tally from the entirety of last season in Spain’s 2nd tier.
Ahead of the expiration of his previous terms at Stage Front Stadium in the summer of 2026, the Espanyol brass, in turn, recently kicked into gear negotiations with the player’s entourage, over a potential renewal.
And, as alluded to above, this week, such discussions have officially borne fruit.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of the Periquitos, Jofre has put pen to paper on a deal with the club all the way through the summer of 2029:
